State of Fear
Who’s excited for Katie’s first entry? The correct answer is everyone. I am writing about State of Fear by Michael Crichton. I read this book in my Murder Mysteries course. This book is about taking leaps of faith with the author. Crichton weaves an exciting and page turning mystery about the threat of global warning. The story is good but Crichton rushes the ending and asks the reader to accept too many far fetched coincidences. Considering everything, it’s a quick read and a good mystery although there is no definite resolution at the end of the story. Also, someone in my class said that there was an article in the New York Times about global warning and they made reference to Crichton’s book and stated that the White House offered to pay Crichton to educate President Bush about global warming, I do not know if Crichton accepted.
